The program aims to produce graduates with essential knowledge, understanding and skills in fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic resource management that can be creatively applied to their future careers.

4. Expected learning outcomes

After completing a degree in the program in fisheries science, graduates will be able to:

1) to critically explain the scientific principles underlying the study of fisheries.

2) to demonstrate calculations essential to fisheries study and related fields.

3) to correctly explain the methods of breeding and rearing of commercial aquatic species.

4) to precisely describe the management of important factors in aquaculture.

5) to operate a production of commercial species and acquire entrepreneurial skills for creative career development.

6) to appropriately apply the knowledge of social sciences, economics, information technology for managements of biological resources and aquatic habitats.

7) to plan and conduct a research project in fisheries and related fields.

8) to develop English language communication, creative and critical thinking skills for life-long learning.

9) to develop codes of social responsibility, team working and scientific ethics, particularly in relation to fisheries advancement and applications.

5. Admission requirements:

1) Applicants must complete a high-school level or equivalence.

2) Applicants must be admitted to the program through the Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS) administered by the Commission on Higher Education (CHE), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and/or stated otherwise by the university’s announcement on undergraduate admission.

3) Proofs of other qualifications may be required by Silpakorn University.
